Book Club: Book of the Month for October 2016
Whisky Beach by Nora Roberts
#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts weaves together passion and obsession, humor and heart, in a novel of two people opening themselves up to the truth—and to each other.
For more than three hundred years, Bluff House has sat above Whiskey Beach, guarding its shore—and its secrets. But to Eli Landon, it’s home.
A Boston lawyer, Eli has weathered an intense year of public scrutiny and police investigations after being accused of—but never arrested for—the murder of his soon-to-be ex-wife.
He finds sanctuary at Bluff House, even though his beloved grandmother is in Boston recuperating from a nasty fall. Abra Walsh is always there, though. Whiskey Beach’s resident housekeeper, yoga instructor, jewelry maker and massage therapist, Abra is a woman of many talents—including helping Eli take control of his life and clear his name. But as they become entangled in each other, they find themselves caught in a net that stretches back for centuries—one that has ensnared a man intent on reaping the rewards of destroying Eli Landon once and for all.

New science tells us that our children’s first five years are when they develop the foundation for all future learning. Every time we connect with them, it’s not just their eyes that light up-it’s their brains. In these moments, half a million neurons fire at once, taking in everything we say and do. We can’t see it happening, but it’s all there at all at work. That’s why Vroom is here.
Vroom turns shared moments into brain BUILDING moments. Whether it’s mealtime, bath time, or anytime in between, there are always ways to nurture our children’s minds. There are so many ways YOU can be a brain builder.
Daily Vroom, is a free app for Apple , android, and Amazon devices. So download it today, and turn everyday moments into BRAIN BUILDING moments!

Please line up on the right side of the road and stay beside your entry. We will come to you for a number. Please do NOT sit on the side roads in hopes to blend in with the parade; we will not be able to get to you with a number. To be safe, enter East Green from the north end of town and drive down until you are in line. We will be taking our last entry at 10:45am. We also want to encourage all businesses, churches, services groups, car/tractor/motorcycle clubs, school groups, families etc to join in. The parade ends at the Shelter Care and we all know how much the residents enjoy seeing the parade.
